I will try to keep the venom to a minimun in this post, but I am trying to fix my grandmother's computer for the fiftieth time because her idiot son can't stop looking for the most twisted perversions and clicking on every popup that the darkest recesses of the internet have to offer.
The current dilemma is that the wireles nic I had installed almost a year ago that had been working fine does not seem to exist. All drivers for it are gone, the device manager cannot find the hardware. The system is defaulting back to it's intregrated broadband, and does not even send power to the card.
I get the same behavior on both pci slots, the computer reports the network controller has no drivers, but nowhere does it reference the d-link card it has.
Apperently this happened at about the time the fool tried to install google chrome, and aborted the installation when it asked for money. I uninstalled it and since I removed it the rundll32 error is not coming up anymore.
Please, if anyone has any ideas share 'em.
PS - also if anyone wants a 50 year old drunken mooch incapable of cleaning up after himself, working or the basics of civil conduct, he is all yours.
