Dual HD, Dual OS - Boot.ini problem

Postby gtjpgtjp » Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:47 am

Hi

I have got two Hard Disks with two partitions on each.
C: D: E: F:

XP is installed on C:
Win 7 is installed on E:

I used to get two options XP and Win7 while booting.

Somehow my boot.ini got corrupted. The new boot.ini now has the entry for XP only. I can now see only one option while booting - i.e. XP

The boot.ini reads as:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW S
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

What do I need to the boot.ini to see Win7 also while booting?

Thanks.
