Monitor froze in power-save mode????

Hey guys.
I was playing Lord of the Rings Online, which I have been for awhile with no problems what so ever. Today, I was playing and the computer(desktop) just froze up. I tried CTRL ALT DEL and I tried ALT F4ing the program but it just froze up so I held the power button until it shut down. Then i waited about 20 seconds and booted it back up. I've done this a hundred times before, not that my computer sucks but every once in awhile I would overtax the thing and it would choke. But I was only playing this game, which I have for weeks. This time, when I booted up again, the monitor wouldn't kick on. It says it is in power save mode and just wont come out of it. What the heck? The computer boots up perfectly fine,

I can hear the normal sounds it makes and I have a password set up at the boot and it boots if I type it in correctly.

I've unplugged the entire computer and held the power button for a full minute. I have unplugged the monitor and replugged it. I removed the video card and dusted that off I'm going today to try the monitor on a different computer but if it is NOT that, can only tell me what the issue is?
My specs are:
Dell XPS410 with nVidia 7300 graphics card I think and 2GB of ram.

My Samsung monitor wasn't performing in Windows 7 properly so I started fiddling with the monitor settings and inadvertenly changed the language and from there it went no further.

I went to the site and downloaded the manual for the Monitor and read it. Holding the menu button down for 5 seconds on mine locks the settings. Holding it down again for 5 seconds unlocks it. It could be something as simple as that.
