Computer slowing / freezing

Hi. i just bought a new thermaltake case and since i changed the case my pc has been giving me problems like slowing down and freezing for a bit occasionally. i've tried to reset my bios and re installed windows 7. can anyone help pls i seriously dont know what to do now... =/

I have seen some computers got the same problem due to the touch of the mainboard with the metal case and cause the short.

I would suggest you check the RAM and use 1 working RAM only and see if this works.

well my main board is p5ld2-x and i'm using a thermaltake aguila case

Try reset the Bios default and check the HDD controller in the device manager to make sure the HDD controller is DMA not the PIO mode.

Nothing can be more annoying than a slow running, freezing computer. It wastes your valuable time waiting for it to get going. It is aggravating and something you just do not have to tolerate.
When the computer was newer it was not like that. It was a pleasure to use when it ran fast and smoothly. What can be wrong now? Most likely your registry is bloated and overstuffed with an assortment of useless pieces of data. The operating system while running your computer has to pick its way through all this excess material. There will be bits of programs which were not completely uninstalled, parts of programs which were never completely installed, fragments of miscellaneous data, useless drivers, and a multitude of other bits and pieces. Often there is also spyware which is using your computer for nefarious purposes and slowing its operation.

I agreed with that.

Seems that the computer owner has reinstalled the Windows 7 and this could be the hardware configuration problem then.

I would be tempted to check the CPU for overheating , is the fan spinning too slow
(maybe the fan speed control in the bios is set for silent operation), check that there
is non-obstructed airflow in the case, check the cpu is not being overclocked in bios.

Most overheated CPU will cause the shut down and not just slow or freeze computer.

I believed still a good try to reset Bio and make sure system is not overclocked.
