Monitor problem

Postby robbert » Sat Jul 05, 2003 8:25 am

Whenever I boot up my monitor won't come on, I see the light's flashing on my A: drive and CD drive, and the LED lights for my HDD and Power and the num lock, caps lock and scroll lights flash on they keyboard, I also hear the hard drive "whirring" and all the fans come on, so I know it is booting up right, I tryed the monitor and the video card in a different pc, and they both worked fine!... So right now I'm stumped If anyone could help me please please help me, I think it may have somethign to do with the wiring of the power supply, but maybe not...

I'm not sure what you mean by the 'wiring' of your power supply. Does your graphics card have a separate power connector from the power supply?

Check you video card , Bus drivers , Motherboard's connection to the power supply .. also if u do have a seperate power cord going to your vid card , usually it is split into 2... make sure they are in the right slot ... cause belive it or not if u flip it around it wont work ( that only applys if u have a gaming pc tho ) ... neways i had that problem at my work , and what i did to fix it was just take the vid card out ... dust it off ... and embed it back into the motherboard
