Just some funny stupidity

Postby fishoutofwater579 » Tue Mar 23, 2004 9:31 pm

Just a funny thing that all you messing around in your BIOS should take to heart. My friend thought it would be great to overclock his already good processor, so he did. After a while he wanted to change it back and was in the process of changing the stuff in his BIOS and after it said to NOT shutdown the system when it was making changes he impatiently grabbed for a cd that was by his powerstrip. If he would of waited the two seconds or so he would of been fine but he didn't. He hit the powerswitch and erased his BIOS. Now since he can't manage his money he doesn't even have enough money to buy a new BIOS chip. I thought that this was very funny. What do you guys think?

I feel bad for the guy. I have done stupid things like this in my lifetime. If you were a good friend, you would lend him the money. :P

That must suck....However,he may not need a bios chip.Theres a good chance he has a "boot block" which will enable him to reflash his bios.

explains AMI and AWARD bios recovery.

I would lend him the money but he can never pay anyone back and isn't really that good of a friend. He's nice when he needs something then not any other time so I think it's funny. This story goes along with his awesome 86 Cougar that he blew the tranny on and is just leaving there to rot.
