Do you "see" the attachment in the email before you send it?
How are you attempting to include an attachment?

Say you're using hotmail and you go to attach a file. After you browse to the file you want to send and click OK it just hangs and eventually will say document contains no data.

What is the extension (.xxx) of the file you're trying to attach?
Have you tried using Outlook Express?
