Internet Connection Troubles.

Postby efenili » Sat Apr 10, 2004 9:32 pm

Ok...as you might have read in my other post I was having problems with my Mup.sys and btkrnl.sys and a few other things. I finally just decided to re-install Windows.

But after a clean install and everything seems ok, I can't connect to the internet. For whatever reason WinXP keeps installing a "1394 Net Adaptor" driver for my onboard nforce ethernet.
So I then used a spare ethernet adaptor which installed fine but for whatever reason I still can't connect. Am I missing a step somewhere which is the reason or whats the problem?

Also is there a way to FORCE winXP to accept the driver i give it for a piece of hardware??

Try start>run>(then type) ipconfig /renew.For your nforce ethernet adapter,go to your motherboard manufactor and download the newest driver for it.Go to the device manager and remove the "1394 net adapter" then install the new drivers.
