Trekker mouse drivers

Postby bawldy » Sun May 25, 2003 1:39 am

I'm trying to install a ps2 trekker mouse on my Dell Dimesions 8100 and I don't have the drivers. I have Win98 installed and it will not recognize it. I tried searching for trekker and did not find any info. 8O

I dont believe you need the drivers to use the mouse. But you can grab the IntelliPoint 4.1 mouse software. This will allow you to reassign buttons and whatnot. Link up below.

Thanks for the reply. Everyone tells me I don't need drivers and that Win98 with recognize the mouse automatically. Normally thats true on all my other machines, Compaq, Packard Bell etc. This Dell 8100 just won't recognize it. Could it be the Dell board or something to do with BIOS?
I appreciate your input.

Have you tried going to add new hardware & adding a generic ps/2 mouse?
