pop up help

i get pop up windows when internet explorer is not open. i have the google toolbar but that only works when the browser is open and i have an adware program too. can someone help me, i dont know what to do, they won't stop :mad: !

First thing you should do is update ad aware and scan,then download/install and update

Disable Messenger Service.
Click Start / Setings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
Scroll down and highlight "Messenger"
Right-click the highlighted line and choose "Properties".
Click the STOP button.
Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar
Click OK

Just to add to brads reply above. A nice little program to use to turn the Messager off is called Shoot the Messager. You can download it from here.
