PC Guy

Thank you for your efforts and explanation. Particularly :

>>mangled his way into our admin control panel and sent out the email to prove how small his penis is. He did not download any list of email addresses nor did he steal them. In fact, we have no list of email addresses to steal. All he did was press a button and the email was sent to everyone. It is a function of the admin panel. <<

And your action to remedy this.

I don't think that anyone actually believed that there was any malice originating from this site. At least I hope not.

Don't forget that anyone who visited this site can see your pctechforums email address - maybe it was a visitor, maybe it was harvested by a spambot but either way I guess someone who had your email address got infected :(

re email sent from pc techforums

Postby dartchucker99 » Mon Apr 19, 2004 8:27 pm

I too revieved the email and now am getting on an average 6-8 emails a day with the netsky virus, this started april 15 . It would be nice to know if anyone else that got that email is getting the emails with netsky also. Is there any solution other than new email address to getting rid of these emails.

Just to help everyone feel a little safer about this netsky virus and their email address.

I have not received any emails containing the netsky virus.
I did receive the hoax email that everyone got but that’s it,
not one virus and not any spam either.
This email address is only used here and one other site.
