Postby Scarlet » Sat Apr 10, 2004 8:35 pm

Hi Guys

I am new here, but i have quite a lot of computer knowledge. Having a Wee Prob. Monitor Does not show signal. Checked GFX Card in bro's comp, works. replaced Mobo(Same Prob), tried ram, works, tried processor, Dont Work, Replaced. Still no joy. Could it be CMOS Battrey? Or do u recon my mobo and processor is broke. The PCI cards are working, AGP still gets power (Fan SPins).

I Thank in advance,

Tried Monitor, Works on my bro's pc. If Chips are getting power, should the mobo be ok? No Beeps, trying psu tonite, wish me luck!

To clear cmos, do i just turn it on with the jumper for three seconds?

Wen it broke down, i was monitoring temps in BIOS, Does that help?

It might be the video card... Try using another video card in the computer and see if that works.

bios chip

Postby Laxergreg » Mon Apr 19, 2004 2:39 am

call the motherboard company... tell them the problem, they'll say, oh it doesn't POST... bummer, here, we'll send you a new bios chip or they'll RMA you a new mobo. this is all assuming you're under warranty...
btw... asrock? wtf mobo company is that...

VID Card

What kind of GeForce Card is it and what kind of cooling did you use. I am an avid Geforce OCer and have had this problem before that is what happens when you OC a wee bit too muuch. What were you running what kind of card at that will help us in solving your problem also.
