Modem "Teaming"

Postby liljim » Mon Apr 26, 2004 8:33 am

As everyone knows, dialup sucks.I need some information on modem teaming with each modem on a different isp account. My isp doesnt support multilinking so this is my alternative.I have another computer networked to mine as guest, mine being host and with the help of a program called midpoint i can make the guest pc use both connections at once. This ultimatly increases the bandwidth...the problem is my pc wont use both, only one.Any idea's or thoughts on a better way or program to do this?

2 modems in main pc
2 phone lines 1 per modem
2 isp accounts
10/100 switch
winxp

solutions i thought of:

put the modems in your other pc, so yours is the guest.

beg/search/find another pc (very old one) and use it only as a modem server.

Yep,that was my next option.I probably have enough junk laying around to build a small machine.
