svchost.exe always says good bye

Postby havoc » Wed Apr 07, 2004 6:44 pm

hello folks

I reinstalled the whole OS Win2000 but the same error happens again: allways I connect to the Internet, a process called svchost.exe fails. Then some effects like copy/paste doesn't work, some applications dont start anymore, some directorys dont display anymore and so on. Dr. Watson says its a problem with its access rights. But why? Could it be a conflict with the driver SW of my Modem? Has anybody a clue what it could be and how I could fix it?
Id love you man

Cheers

I would suggest a full reinstall of O/S. Format fat ntfs and run-- Sounds like a virus.

I had the same problem and it was a bad motherboard--hope your not that unlucky
