I have not used this software but it is freeware and may work better than what you are using. It might be worth giving it a try.

The error you are getting for Kodak on the burn is common. The easy way to explain it is this: any entry in the c drive c:\xxx\xxx\...etc can only be 256 characters long---this is the result of several (I use the term loosely) nested directorys. The bad thing about this error, the backup will stop when it hits this error. I could be wrong about the fail bit, I migrate a lot of data from old computers to new ones and when I get a directory over 256 characters, the migration fails and I have to go in and rearrange some of the directorys to cut the length down.

You'll get tired of burning cds as a backup--spend $60 and buy another hard drive and ghost your c drive to the slave and disconnet it from the system. Most people really don't want to back up their drive to the way it was yesterday, they want to back it up to when it worked good. Then back up your files to one cd every month

I also have 3 computers on a network and I do transfer files over its just you hate to think and prob wont rememebr 'till the time you need something that you forgot to transfer it over then its too late. Im just a baby wahhhhhhhhh And I am really hung up on 98SE its the best OS thats been created thus far in my opinion and I do us my XP machine but still favor 98SE. Its hard to change when you dont need to yet. When they stop supporting 98SE in 2006 then I will be ready to move to XP.

just becoz mine sux ..... and may purchase 2nd H.D.D and use Ghost as we wrote earlier.

If you are going to purchase an imaging application you might want to take a look at Acronis - True Image. I have both Norton Ghost 2003 and True Image version 4 and I like True Image much better than Norton Ghost 2003. True Image seems to work better across my network than Norton Ghost 2003 does. This was not the case with Norton Ghost 2002 so something seems to have changed in the 2003 version that at least for my system does not seem to work as well.
