pc to pc

i have searched the web hopelessly so i wondered if anyone can help me.i know you can link your pc to your tv to watch films but is there anyway or software that you can play a film on a pc that is downstairs and be able to watch it with sound to a pc that is upstairs(btw sharing a lan connection)

any help would be appreciated

the problem i have now is that i cannot create the file sharing side to it.i can set it up on my side but the other pc cannot access it. i have a window that says i do not have access to the network please contact the adminastrator server.i would have thought this would have been done automatically as both pc's are sharing a modem router

The easiest way to give your other PC access it to go back into where you shared the folder, and assign permissions so EVERYONE can access it.

IF you want a more secure option, you can check to see what username is logging into the other pc, and create a new username on your PC, and assign that username permissions.
