Pc wont start up (plz help n00b here)

When i start the pc , it starts listing the PCi devices, when it reaches the ACPI controller it stops doing anything
the IRq number for ACPI controller is 9, the others fields for this "thing" are left blank.
the pc doesnt crash, it just stops and doesnt finish the pci device listing.
after that i cant do anything except pushing the power button.
what can i do?
is this hardware or software prob?
im a real n00b plz help me!

Did it work yesterday and today its doesn"t?

What operating system?

Did you install any new hardware?

Did you alter any power settings in the bios?

yes i turned the pc off, but 5 min later i turned it back on and my problem appeared

i got win xp home

no new hardware

no power settings changed

could my hardware be fucked up?
