when a small box appears with a red X inside it where a picture on a webpage should be, is it somthing to do with temp memory not being set high enough or somthing completely different and if it is my theory, can anyone tell me how to increase it so i dont get a box with the red X in ? :?:

I have found this to work with IE6 under Windows XP to fix the red x problem. Remove the following keys in the Windows registry. Make sure you export each key before removing it so you can put it back if you have problems or it does not work for you.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\ftp]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\http]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\PROTOCOLS\Name-Space Handler\https]

Is it IE6 or just the Website your at.
You can right-click inside the wht bx with the X and click Show Picture.
You can also right-click and click Properties, this will tell you the URL of the image, and then you can narrow it down to IE6 or just the internet site.

Like I said....right-clicking the picture and selecting properties will pretty much tell you the problem. If it's just"http://",then there is no picture on the site.It hasn't been uploaded. If there is a full url like "http://www.pctech.com/logo.gif", then there is a picture but it isn't loading properly.Sometimes refreshing the page will bring them up.It's 9 out of 10 times not your pc but the website your on.
Most webmasters don't leave blank pictures... :)
