It keeps asking me for my network password

I'm not sure what started this, but recently my pc keeps asking me for my network password. I've got Windows 98 with Office XP, and it seems to be happening in Outlook. It may have some correlation to it looking for messages on my server but not sure. It's asking for it sometimes several times a minute and it's really annoying. I've checked all my outlook settings and they're fine. Does anyone know what's causing this and how I can sort it out?

When you talk about your network password, do you mean your password for your LAN or a password to dial up to the internet? What sort of setup do you have - are you connecting to an IMAP or POP3 mailbox? Is the LAN windows, linux or novell based?
