The Fly

There was a fly hovering about 12 inches above the surface of a small lake.

Just below the surfarce was a fish. The fish looked up and said, " if that fly would drop 6 inches I could catch it"

Not far away, sitting on shore was a big bear. The bear looked over the situation and said "if that fly would drop 6 inches the fish would jump for it and I could catch the fish"

About 100 yards away was a hunter looking over the situation. The hunter said. " if that fly would drop 6 inches the fish would jump for it, the bear would come out of the bush and catch the fish and I could shoot the bear"

Just under a log behind the hunter was a mouse. The mouse was looking over the situation and said, " if that fly would drop down 6 inches the fish would jump for it, the bear would come out after the fish and the hunter would grab his gun to shoot the bear and I could have that nice cheese sandwich over there".

Sitting on a rock not far away was a cat. The cat looked over the situation and said, " if that fly would drop 6 inches the fish would jump for the fly, the bear would grab the fish, the hunter would grab his gun to shoot the bear and the mouse would run out for the cheese sandwich and I could have the mouse".

All of a sudden the fly dropped six inches and sure enough the fish jumped for the fly, the bear grabbed the fish, the hunter got his gun and shot the bear, the mouse ran for the cheese sandwich and the cat took off like a bullet after the mouse. The cat pounced at the mouse and missed, tumbled a few times and fell in the lake.

The moral of the story: Every time a fly drops 6 inches a little pussy gets wet!
