Protecting pc

I know that there are several things you should do to protect your pc. My McAfee runs a virus scan 3 times a week. What are the most important things this I should remember to do (memory is good...just short at times) to keep my pc runnng clean.

You should make sure to do any Windows Updates from microsoft, run your virus scan at least once a week, make sure you get all live updates from them. Download and install any free security software off the net and most of all listen to the people from this forum. I dont think you see too many of them posting messages that they are having a problem staying clean and running smooth. I saw your post the other day that you said you would take some ones suggestion into consideration. Myself, when some one from this forum makes a suggestion I dont consider it, I do it. I personaly love posting my log files in this forum to hear some of the finer members of this forum say "Its nice to see a clean log file"
