My pc just rebooth

Postby quark » Mon Jul 28, 2003 3:31 am

I have windows xp and I was downloading security service pack. However, during download some of files was not able to install and could not be copied to my pc. I mananged to installed service pack not realizing some of files might be corrupt or was not compatible with my pc. When I restart the pc it went throught chdisk process during reboothing. I saw nothing wrong, but my pc continues to reboth instead of starting. Screen also display"auto detecting pri slave not detected" I don't know what this mean. Maybe cmos is screw up. Furthermore, I did not made a back up bootable disk. What do I do? My pc just keep rebooting it self and I just don't know how to stop it.
Thank for the help.
