Installing MS Office2000

Postby niji » Mon Jul 28, 2003 6:34 pm

My problem started when I installed MS Office2000 into my computer and then I deleted it and reinstalled it again without using "remove MS Office2000" in the MS Office2000 disk, after that whenever I use MS Office programs, MS Word for instance, a little window will appear and say that the computer is preparing to install MS Office2000 and after that for a while it will say something like the computer couldn't install MS Office2000 and I have to close that window, then MS Word will appear and I can use it. The problem is that it takes me a lot of time before I can access to MS Office programs and I just want to use all these programs normally. What should I do? Please help me!

Have you tried repairing the Office installation?
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Double-click the icon for the Office program that you want.
In the Microsoft Office Maintenance Mode dialog box, click Repair Office, and then click Next.
In the Reinstall/Repair Microsoft Office dialog box, click Reinstall Office, and then click Finish.
If this doesn't fix your problem, then now you might be able to use the uninstall from Office

If the above suggestions haven't gotten you "uninstalled", you can try running the Office 2000 disk1 and uninstall through the "Installer".
